Chapter 3 SGFTCV

Survival Guide for the Charming Villain

The boy pressing down on him hesitated, restraining himself from putting his full weight on Xi Rong.

Yet the oppressive feeling, like encountering a wild beast in the wilderness, still made Xi Rong break out in a cold sweat.

It was unbearable.

Although his hands weren’t restrained, they were pinned to the sides of the chair. His upper body was almost entirely under the chair, and whenever he tried to sit up, his waist would be pressed down, leaving him no chance to escape.

In the abandoned gym, a few unfamiliar transfer students had brought a frail boy here, openly declaring they were going to bully him. Anyone could guess what might happen.

Especially since they were doing this deliberately to show off to someone who hated him. They might even go as far as to bully him to death.

Alpha had hinted that this game could be deadly.

This was his level.

[Xi Rong: Alpha, is there any item I can use to escape?]

If this was a game, there should be items. The system was like a pocket store.

[Host currently has 0 points. Cannot purchase items.]

But Xi Rong had nothing.

He shamelessly asked again.

[Will you help me?]

[...]

The emotionless system rarely spoke, like a standard machine designed without the concept of "helping." It was like a trading system or a pocket store, never offering players extra assistance.

Even though he wasn’t a player.

"Hey... how should we bully him..."

Despite being set up as a villain, from the shared information, they knew the protagonist had a sworn brother like him. The boy’s nearly shoulder-length black hair and long bangs gave him a gloomy aura. Before his beautiful face was revealed, he was just a symbol, an inorganic piece of data.

His face...

It really was beautiful.

With his striking features, he should have looked perfect for a villain, especially with his raised eyebrows and mischievous eyes. He was the very image of a antagonist.

But now, with red eyes and pushed under the chair, his dark eyes misty and teary, the sharpness of his beauty was veiled, making him breathtakingly beautiful.

He looked so fragile and obedient.

A little too much force, and he couldn’t resist. It seemed like he wanted to get up and run away, but when a hand reached out—

He obediently stayed still.

He didn’t dare move, too scared.

It felt like they could do anything to him, and he wouldn’t resist.

So pitiful that it almost made the tormentors... hesitate.

"Xi Rong, right?"

The boy pressing down on him spoke with an involuntary hoarseness in his voice. His gaze was fixed on Xi Rong, as if he would pounce and tear him apart if he didn’t answer obediently.

"Yes..."

Forced to answer meekly.

He seemed like the kind of boy who would blush just from talking to girls, the kind who had been bullied by taller boys since childhood and grew up unable to express himself. It was hard to imagine how he could have arrogantly bullied the male lead, who was already nearly 1.9 meters tall.

His voice was soft.

His skin was pale, almost glowing under the sunlight. His fingers rested on the dirty floor, accidentally scratched, turning a tender red. It looked painful, as if even a touch could hurt him.

Yu Mingzun said, "How about we play a game?"

His tone was filled with malice as he spoke, as if following some default command. Suddenly, the group became excited.

"It doesn’t matter what we play."

"After all, he’s a villain who’s done a lot of bad things."

"I heard he did something terrible to the protagonist, and the protagonist still has psychological scars. Who knows how evil he is?"

"The game encourages punishing bad people..."

Someone even pulled out a pair of scissors from their sleeve.

Yu Mingzun suddenly shot a cold glance at the group, and they immediately fell silent.

"That’s not the kind of game I meant."

He lowered his head, speaking to Xi Rong while ignoring the other players. His voice softened slightly.

"You need to listen to me. If you’re obedient, you won’t get hurt. Understand?"

Yet, he had already taken the sharp scissors handed to him by a companion.

The cold light of the scissors reflected the pale sunlight. As they drew closer, a faint metallic scent filled the air. Xi Rong’s body tensed up. Yu Mingzun waved the scissors above him for a moment before starting to move the chair.

The chair was indeed an obstacle, preventing Xi Rong from escaping but also keeping the players from freely touching him.

On top of the chair was a stack of broken badminton rackets and a bag of something heavy—possibly stacked dumbbells. From below, Xi Rong could see the muscles in Yu Mingzun’s arms flex slightly, yet he effortlessly moved the chair aside.

In an instant, there was no more barrier. Yu Mingzun no longer restrained him, but the sharp scissors remained in his hand, never set down even while moving the chair.

It seemed like a single bad mood or a split-second decision could lead to Xi Rong being stabbed.

Panicking, Xi Rong scrambled to his feet, sprinting away as if running an 800-meter dash. He even lost a shoe in the process. But within seconds, he was caught.

The back of his neck was grabbed.

The foot that had lost its shoe was seized by a large hand and dragged back.

This was bad. His skin had been touched.

"Why are you running? Trying to resist me?"

Xi Rong even heard a faint chuckle.

The skin on the back of his neck burned as if set on fire, and intense discomfort instantly spread throughout his body.

Goosebumps erupted all over, and his body felt as if it had been scalded by hot water. His limbs flailed, trying to push Yu Mingzun away.

Like a restless kitten pawing helplessly, he was easily subdued. Even the skin on the back of his hand was touched.

Terrifying memories of his condition flared up in his mind. Xi Rong’s body went limp, and sweat began to bead on his forehead.

He had no strength left.

"Why are you so scared? I’m not even bullying you..."

Xi Rong slumped weakly onto the chair that had just been moved aside. His soft black hair clung to his pale face, damp with sweat.

The group finally noticed something was wrong. The beautiful boy didn’t just look scared—he was breathing rapidly.

"Did someone use some kind of item earlier...? He seems really unwell."

No one answered. Yu Mingzun pulled him closer to check on him.

His hand accidentally brushed against the hem of Xi Rong’s flipped-up autumn shirt, grazing the delicate skin.

For a moment, his entire body went numb.

His waist was so slender.

Xi Rong let out a soft, pained whimper.

It was a faint sound, like a kitten’s mewl, audible only to those nearby.

At that moment, someone suddenly said "Lu Feng is here!"

[Ask him for help.]

Alpha, silent for so long, suddenly spoke.

[I’ll help you.]
