Chapter 19 ATISTSML

After Transmigrating, I Saved the Saintly Male Lead

o0o

Monday arrived in the blink of an eye.

"So tired"

Ji Anche mumbled, his eyelids drooping as he walked, barely conscious from exhaustion.

Last night, he had stayed at the hospital to keep watch over the male lead, and he hadn’t slept well at all.

Thankfully, the male lead’s fever had finally broken.

He and the male lead had left the hospital at five in the morning and arrived at school by six, just in time for morning self-study.

When they reached the classroom, Ji Anche yawned and stuffed his backpack into the desk drawer, planning to take a quick nap on the desk.

As soon as his gaze shifted toward the male lead, before he could even speak,

Gu Hanzhou had already understood his intention.

"Ge, go ahead and sleep. I’ll keep an eye out for the teacher."

"Hmm."

Ji Anche nodded in relief, finding a comfortable position to close his eyes and catch up on sleep.

Bang!

A loud noise suddenly erupted from the podium.

Ji Anche was so startled that he nearly fell off his chair.

He struggled to open his eyes, rubbing the corners, and drowsily looked toward the podium.

The man on the podium looked to be in his fifties, wearing a not-so-clean white short-sleeved shirt. His hair was sparse, with only a few strands covering his scalp, and his frame was so thin it looked like a skeleton come to life.

The skeleton-like man announced loudly, "Everyone, quiet down. My name is Tian Junxiong, and I’m your new math teacher. The previous teacher, Mr. Li, is hospitalized due to illness, so I’ll be teaching you for the next month."

Why did the name 'Tian Junxiong' sound so familiar?

Ji Anche wiped his face, forcing himself to stay awake and think hard.

Memories of the original plot began to surface in his mind.

When the male lead had faced bullying at school, he had once turned to a teacher for help.

At that time, the male lead’s life had already been miserable.

The bullies had poured chalk dust into his water bottle, torn up his textbooks and test papers, and stuffed his desk drawer full of trash.

The male lead was beaten up every few days, his body constantly covered in unhealed bruises.

In desperation, clinging to a faint glimmer of hope, he had gone to a teacher for help.

However, the teacher had simply said dismissively, "Just ignore them. If you don’t pay attention to them, they’ll naturally get bored and stop bullying you."

"Besides, you should reflect on your own behavior. Why is it that other students aren’t being bullied, but you are? That means there’s something wrong with you too."

"Remember this: flies don’t land on an uncracked egg."

After hearing the teacher’s words, the male lead had left in silence, the last shred of hope in his heart extinguished.

That bastard teacher’s name was Tian Junxiong.

Ji Anche clenched his fists, his jaw tightening.

He wanted nothing more than to rush up to the podium and punch that hypocritical piece of trash twice.

Suppressing his anger, he glanced at the male lead.

Gu Hanzhou was holding a pen, diligently solving problems. His problem-solving speed was impressive. By the time Ji Anche had just finished reading the question, he had already written down the answer.

As expected of his son.

Truly amazing.

Gu Hanzhou put down the pen and sighed softly.

"Ge, you’ve been staring at me for a full two minutes."

Caught in the act of peeking, Ji Anche panicked for a moment but quickly composed himself.

As long as he wasn’t embarrassed, the embarrassment belonged to someone else.

Ji Anche raised an eyebrow and teasing."What’s wrong with looking at you?"

"You’re so good-looking. Can’t I take a look?"

His amber eyes glinted, his tone bold and playful.

Hearing such flirtatious words, a faint blush spread across Gu Hanzhou’s cheeks.

He lowered his head, flustered.

"N-no… it’s nothing."

Seeing the male lead blush, Ji Anche’s hidden mischievous side was inexplicably stirred, and he became even more eager to tease.

He hooked a finger under Gu Hanzhou’s chin, and try to tease. "Come on, give me a smile."

"Ge…"

Gu Hanzhou’s fingers tightened on the edge of the textbook, the neat pages crumpling. His voice was soft, suppressing the hoarseness in his throat, sounding almost like a plea.

Seeing the male lead’s pitiful expression, only one thought remained in Ji Anche’s mind.

Damn…

…I really want to bully him.

Hold on.

How could I have such evil thoughts?

Ji Anche silently recited the Great Compassion Mantra, feeling his soul instantly purified.

He leaned closer to the male lead and whispered. "Remember to be careful with the current math teacher. He’s not a good person."

The male lead had ended up in juvenile detention, and the math teacher had played a significant role in that.

Gu Hanzhou didn’t ask any questions, obediently replying, "Okay, I’ll remember."

Ji Anche was surprised.

"Aren’t you going to ask why? You’re so obedient."

"No need."

Gu Hanzhou paused, his eyes meeting Ji Anche’s, a glimmer of trust shining in them.

"Ge wouldn’t lie to me."

Ji Anche’s heart felt as if it were filled with sweet and sour lemonade, the sweetness making him dizzy.

He was about to speak when—

Suddenly, a piece of chalk flew toward Gu Hanzhou, aimed directly at his face.

Ji Anche’s pupils constricted, his heart skipping a beat.

At the critical moment, he quickly raised his hand to shield Gu Hanzhou’s face.

The chalk hit the back of Ji Anche’s hand, leaving a sharp mark before bouncing to the ground.

Ji Anche’s heart raced. That piece of chalk had been aimed at the male lead’s face.

If it had been slightly off, it could have hit his eye.

Ji Anche’s expression turned icy as he looked toward the podium.

On the podium, Tian Junxiong still held the posture of having thrown the chalk. His gaunt face resembled dried tree bark stretched over a skeletal frame, his murky eyes filled with malice.

"You two aren’t paying attention in class. What are you doing down there? Is the classroom a place for you to chat?"

"Whispering during class is a sign of disrespect to me. Acting like this on the first day, what will you do in the future? If you don’t want to listen, get out."

Tian Junxiong had already looked into the family backgrounds of every student in the class.

Ji Anche’s family situation was unclear, so he probably wasn’t from a wealthy family.

Gu Hanzhou was a poor kid from the countryside, someone he could treat however he wanted.

"Gu Hanzhou, what were you and your desk mate chatting about so happily? You definitely weren’t listening to my lecture."

Tian Junxiong impatiently slammed the book onto the podium, his voice dry and hoarse.

"Don’t think just because you’re good at studying that you don’t need to listen to my lessons. I’ve seen plenty of students like Gu Hanzhou. Good grades now are just temporary. When it comes to the college entrance exam, you’ll definitely fail and end up going back to the countryside to farm."

Seeing that Gu Hanzhou had been chatting with his desk mate, Tian Junxiong was certain he hadn’t been listening.

"What did I just explain? Stand up and repeat it."

Gu Hanzhou stood up, his figure tall and slender.

"Given the inequality x + 2y + 7z + … holds true, find the range of the parameter."

He repeated the problem Tian Junxiong had just explained, word for word.

Caught off guard, Tian Junxiong’s anger flared. His gaze turned icy as he stared at Gu Hanzhou. "Come up to the podium and solve this problem."

Hearing this, Gu Hanzhou walked to the podium.

He picked up the chalk and neatly wrote the complete solution on the blackboard.

The problem was slightly advanced, something usually taught in university. Tian Junxiong hadn’t expected Gu Hanzhou to actually solve it.

However, the method Gu Hanzhou used was completely different from what he had taught.

Tian Junxiong seized the opportunity to criticize him, his tone harsh.

"I taught the class the separation of variables method. Why did you use monotonicity to solve it?"

Gu Hanzhou’s voice was calm.

"It’s obvious that using monotonicity makes the problem simpler."

Fury surged to the top of Tian Junxiong’s head. His face turned red, and his neck veins bulged.

"Are you publicly questioning my teaching ability?"

Gu Hanzhou lowered his eyes. "I wouldn’t dare."

Tian Junxiong sneered. "Oh, I think you dare quite a lot! I taught you one method, but you deliberately chose not to use it, thinking you’re so clever. If all students were like you, how could I continue teaching? You’re hopeless!"

"If all teachers were like you, we’d probably go crazy."

Ji Anche lazily propped himself up on the corner of the desk, his tone casual.

"You’re so good at nitpicking, why don’t you go work at a construction site?"

"They’re in need of talent like you."

Hearing the sarcasm in Ji Anche’s words, Tian Junxiong’s forehead veins bulged, his face twisting in rage.

"Both of you, get out! Go stand outside the classroom! Otherwise, I can’t continue teaching today!!"

"Fine."

Ji Anche kicked his chair aside and walked out of the classroom.

Gu Hanzhou followed behind.

It was class time, so the hallway was empty.

Ji Anche leaned against the cold wall, the chill seeping through his shirt and calming his frustration. Drowsiness crept back in.

A complicated gaze from beside him was so obvious that he couldn’t ignore it.

Ji Anche turned his head and asked, "What’s wrong? You’ve been staring at me."

Gu Hanzhou quickly looked away, murmuring, "Ge, I wasn’t looking at you."

The morning light caught on the boy’s light brown hair.

Ji Anche chuckled, his voice teasing.

"Not looking at me."

"...Were you thinking about me instead?"

Construction site: Ugh, don’t dump your trash here >_<

The more obedient Little Gu is now, the more ruthless he’ll be in the future xx.
