Chapter 23 ATISTSML

After Transmigrating, I Saved the Saintly Male Lead

Hearing Ji Anche's sarcastic remarks, Tian Junxiong's face turned red, and he instantly flew into a rage.

His chest heaved violently as he strode over to Ji Anche, spitting as he shouted, "Ji Anche, what do you mean by that?! Do you really think I can't control you? You’re the biggest troublemaker in this class, always slacking off! If you don’t want to study, then get out! This school has no place for you!"

Ji Anche leaned lazily against the wall, his gaze disdainful, as if he were watching a wild dog bark.

"Teacher Tian, I didn’t mean anything. I was just stating the facts. Why are you getting so worked up?"

"By the way, why are you praising Liu Lifei so much? Does he give you some kind of benefit?"

Suddenly exposed for his ulterior motives, Tian Junxiong was both embarrassed and furious.

"Don’t talk nonsense! I just think Liu Lifei is a hardworking student, unlike you, who has no respect for your elders and lacks basic manners. How did your parents raise you?"

Ji Anche sneered, his expression bold and unrestrained.

"You’re just a bootlicker, currying favor with the rich students. You suppress the poor kids. Did the impoverished students get in your way?"

"Teacher Tian, do you even deserve my respect?"

In the original storyline, Tian Junxiong frequently insulted and physically punished the male lead. He helped Liu Lifei steal a phone to frame the male lead and deliberately ruined the male lead’s chance at a retest...

And that was just the malice he directed at the male lead. Countless other students also suffered at his hands, with some even dropping out due to depression.

Such things would never happen again. Trash belongs in the trash bin.

Just as Ji Anche was about to speak, a voice suddenly came from behind.

"Teacher Tian, when do you plan to give us the financial aid that the school has allocated for the impoverished students?"

The speaker was the class monitor, who was also one of the impoverished students.

Tian Junxiong’s face stiffened. "I’ll give it to you soon. Don’t rush me."

The class monitor, suppressing his fear, insisted stubbornly, "Teacher Tian, please give me a definite answer. I’ve come to you seven or eight times, and each time you brushed me off. I really have no other choice, which is why I’m bringing it up in public now."

The homeroom teacher frowned and coldly questioned.

"Teacher Tian, haven’t you directly handed over the financial aid to the impoverished students?"

"I accidentally forgot."

Tian Junxiong wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, guiltily turning his head away.

"I’ll bring it over after class."

Forgetting once or twice might be possible.

But forgetting seven or eight times??? Who are you trying to fool? It’s obvious he wanted to embezzle the financial aid meant for the impoverished students.

The students’ gazes toward Tian Junxiong began to shift, filled with suspicion.

Tian Junxiong felt extremely embarrassed, and resentment toward Ji Anche started to grow in his heart.

After all, Ji Anche had no power or influence. He couldn’t fight back and could only endure the insults. Tian Junxiong felt emboldened.

"Ji Anche, I’ve seen plenty of ungrateful students like you. You’re so arrogant now, but in the future, you won’t even be fit to carry someone’s shoes!"

The classroom door suddenly swung open, and the dean walked in.

"What’s going on here? Who’s carrying shoes?"

Seeing the dean enter, Tian Junxiong’s expression stiffened. His lips trembled as he asked.

"Father, why are you here?"

The dean was his father-in-law, who had always looked down on him.

The dean said impatiently, "How many times have I told you not to call me that in public?"

Tian Junxiong lowered his head meekly.

"Yes, Dean."

The dean asked, "What’s happening here?"

Tian Junxiong forced a dry smile, his wrinkled cheeks folding into creases.

"Dean, students these days are becoming more and more unruly. I was just giving him some advice for his own good, but he didn’t appreciate it."

"Telling me to carry shoes counts as advice?"

Ji Anche’s tone was light but mocking. "Then I suggest you resign quickly. Stop teaching and harming people."

Tian Junxiong’s temples bulged with anger, but he didn’t dare act out in front of his father-in-law.

He gritted his teeth and threatened, "Ji Anche, watch your words."

The dean finally noticed Ji Anche and exclaimed in surprise, "Xiao Che, what are you doing here?"

Ji Anche looked up and realized the dean’s face seemed familiar, as if the original owner of this body knew him.

He tentatively asked, "Uncle Wang?"

The dean beamed with joy. "Ah, Xiao Che. Why didn’t you tell me you were attending Foreign Language High School? I even held you when you were a child. How’s your father doing these days?"

Ji Anche replied, "My dad’s doing well."

Seeing his father-in-law’s warm attitude toward Ji Anche, Tian Junxiong was stunned. Cold sweat dripped down his forehead.

"Dean, do you know each other?"

The dean’s expression softened. "Xiao Che’s father helped me a lot. Without his father, I wouldn’t be where I am today, haha. It’s fate that Xiao Che is now your student."

Tian Junxiong’s hands trembled uncontrollably, and he clenched his teeth tightly.

His father-in-law’s current status was already unattainably high. The kind of person who could help his father-in-law must be someone of immense influence.

Recalling the things he had just said to Ji Anche, Tian Junxiong’s face turned pale. He had thought Ji Anche was just an ordinary student with no power or connections, which was why he had insulted him without hesitation.

The dean asked gently, "What were you all talking about earlier?"

"Nothing, nothing! It was just a joke!" Tian Junxiong hurriedly explained, his face pale.

Ji Anche spoke slowly, "Uncle Wang, he said I’m a slacker and the troublemaker of this class. He also said I’m not even fit to carry someone’s shoes in the future."

"I don’t mind being scolded a bit. But Tian Junxiong even tried to embezzle the financial aid meant for impoverished students…"

After hearing this, the dean’s face turned grim. "Tian Junxiong, come with me."

After the teachers left, the noisy classroom returned to silence.

Ji Anche quietly nudged the male lead’s elbow and whispered, leaning on the desk, "Hey, Gu Hanzhou."

Gu Hanzhou looked up. "Ge, what is it?"

Ji Anche’s brows furrowed slightly, his expression conflicted as if he wanted to say something.

He paused, then pushed a bottle of soda on the desk toward the male lead.

"Do you want some soda?"

"Sure." Gu Hanzhou took the soda.

He unscrewed the cap and took a few sips.

The taste of lime soda lingered on his lips.

It tasted like summer.

Gu Hanzhou waited quietly for what the boy would say next.

After two minutes, Ji Anche finally couldn’t hold back.

His eyes curved into a smile, amber irises sparkling like shards of crystal.

His tone carried a hint of pride and a desire for praise. "I avenged you!"

Ji Anche took the male lead’s hand and solemnly promised, word by word, "No one will ever bully you again. I’ll protect you."

Warmth traveled from his fingertips to his heart.

Gu Hanzhou’s breath hitched. The lime soda turned into a sweet, sour, and burning emotion, spreading from his chest.

In the putrid, decaying stagnant water, a dazzling star suddenly descended, radiating intense light and dyeing everything around it with vibrant colors.

He longed to pluck the star and hold it close to his chest.
