Become a Cheetah

Luo Qiao stayed in the leopard's territory for the third day and had the good fortune to witness the formidable power of the female leopard.
Beatrice's cubs were almost six months old. They were growing healthily, and compared to seven-month-old cheetah cubs, the six-month-old leopard cubs looked stronger. To care for them, Beatrice often chose to hunt during the day.
Leopards exhibited strong independence from a young age. When their mother was away, the two cubs would either hide in rock crevices or take shelter in trees, making it difficult for eagles and hyenas to find them.
Lions usually slept soundly during the day, so Beatrice could take this opportunity to go out and hunt, filling her own stomach and those of her offspring.
As for Monty, the other owner of the territory, Beatrice would try to avoid him and did not allow Monty to get too close to the cubs.
Monty didn't mind this. Even when living in the same territory, leopards would try to avoid each other, only staying together for a short time when the female leopard was in heat.
However, for Monty, this situation would probably never happen again.
Luo Qiao's encounter with Beatrice was purely accidental, simply because they had their eyes on the same prey: a dik-dik hiding under an acacia tree.
Dik-diks were a favorite food for both cheetahs and leopards. The tuft of hair standing upright on their heads made them look very cute, but in the eyes of predators, no matter how adorable they were, it was not as important as filling their stomachs.
Luo Qiao, along with Luo Rui and Luo Sen, hid in the grass, while Beatrice lay prone on another acacia tree. They were both waiting for an opportunity.
The dik-dik was completely unaware of the watchful cheetah and leopard until Luo Qiao sprang out of the grass. Only then did it realize something was wrong and immediately turned to flee, not expecting a leopard to descend from the sky, knocking it to the ground and firmly biting its neck.
Luo Qiao did not recognize Beatrice, but Beatrice had seen Luo Qiao before.
The dik-dik was still struggling. Beatrice used her paw to hold down the dik-dik's body, narrowed her eyes, and stared at Luo Qiao. Was this cheetah the one Monty had taken a fancy to?
Although Beatrice, like other female leopards, was not exclusively attached to Monty, the thought of having to abandon her territory for reasons not of her own still annoyed her somewhat.
Beatrice was smaller than Monty and not as strong as the male leopard, but her claws and fangs were sharper than a cheetah's. Releasing the dik-dik, which had already stopped breathing, Beatrice stood up, lowered her head, and glared menacingly at Luo Qiao.
Luo Qiao did not back down, but his tail flicked restlessly twice. He was warning Luo Rui and Luo Sen to hide quickly. He was unsure of the leopard's intentions, but it was clear that she would not be satisfied just taking the prey.
"Um" Luo Qiao tried to speak, "I'll leave immediately. I have no intention of intruding on your territory."
Beatrice remained silent.
"If there's nothing else, can I go now?"
Beatrice still said nothing.
"I'm really leaving?"
Luo Qiao took a step back and glanced sideways to assess his escape route. Just as he was about to bolt, Beatrice suddenly leaped up, her powerful body blocking his retreat. Lowering her head, she circled Luo Qiao, briefly baring her teeth at him.
Having deeply understood leopard body language, Luo Qiao miraculously deciphered her meaning: Little one, where do you think you're going?!
Well, it seemed Monty's bullying behavior wasn't without reason; this was likely a common trait among all leopards.
Beatrice didn't want to provoke Monty by killing this cheetah, nor was it necessary. She simply wanted to get a clearer look at him and understand what exactly attracted that speechless fellow to this cheetah.
His figure?
With that slender waist and thin legs, there was no feeling of substantial claws at all!
His fur?
It was all the same spotted pattern. Besides, Beatrice had always thought the rosette patterns on her own fur were the most beautiful.
Could it be the feeling of being pinned down?
Beatrice began to worry. One of her two cubs was male. Wouldn't he inherit Monty's bad habits too?
"Um..."
Luo Qiao felt the fur on the back of his neck stand on end as Beatrice stared at him, his eyes fixed nervously on her every move.
But unexpectedly, Beatrice transformed into her human form. She leaped behind Luo Qiao, grabbed his tail, lifted it upwards, and even flicked it with her finger.
"Tsk, you have everything you should. What exactly does he like about you?"
Luo Qiao was dumbfounded. What a female hooligan!
Especially the fact that Beatrice was doing this in human form had an extraordinary impact on Luo Qiao. This chocolate-skinned beauty with six-pack abs, athletic limbs, and an exotic charm was so casually grabbing his tail and looking at a certain area between his hind legs?!
"A bit small..."
Luo Qiao's face turned green.
Such a matter concerning male dignity was not something anyone could laugh off.
Beatrice seemed not to notice Luo Qiao's unsightly expression. She let go of his tail and casually patted his rump. This feeling was just passable. Having gotten used to the strong hind legs and buttocks of male leopards, the cheetah's really had nothing to see.
However, this cheetah didn't have Monty's scent on him. It seemed he hadn't succeeded yet.
Beatrice abandoned the stiff Luo Qiao, turned around, walked back to the dik-dik's carcass, transformed back into a leopard, and said to Luo Qiao.
"Keep it up. Don't let that guy get his way easily. If you accidentally get pinned down by Monty, with your small build, tsk tsk..."
With that, she picked up the dik-dik in her mouth, walked into the tall grass, and disappeared.
Luo Qiao stood there petrified until Luo Rui and Luo Sen walked up to him and nudged his chin, pulling him back to reality.
Speaking of which, what was that all about? Had he been flirted with by a female leopard?
Beatrice hid the dik-dik in a tree and returned to the vicinity of the rocky hill where her cubs were hiding. After checking the surroundings to ensure there was no danger, she gently called out to the two cubs.
The siblings came out of the rocks after a while, their ears drooping, hiding behind a tree, and pounced on Beatrice as if she were prey.
This was the most common game for leopard mothers and cubs, and the cubs loved it. Generally, leopard cubs around one year old could catch smaller prey, but they still relied on their mother to be full.
Beatrice was in a good mood. Although that cheetah was more clueless than she had imagined, she still felt happy thinking about Monty's helplessness towards this clueless cheetah.
Jealousy was irrelevant to female leopards. Male leopards on the grassland were not hard to find. Being able to make Monty lose face pleased Beatrice greatly.
The two cubs didn't quite understand why their mother was so happy, and Beatrice didn't explain it to them. She simply let the siblings take turns going up the tree to eat the prey, then cleaned their fur and took them back to the rocky hill.
However, just in case, she still instructed her son emphatically, "The feeling of being pinned down by a cheetah is not good at all! Mom has confirmed it!"

Luo Qiao's dik-dik was snatched away by Beatrice, so he could only catch wild rabbits to feed the two cheetah cubs. On the way back, he caught another small warthog, which could at least sustain the three of them for the night.
But the cheetah father seemed absent-minded even while eating. He kept thinking about Beatrice's words and recalled what Sham had said to him before leaving, feeling more and more awkward the more he thought about it.
Imagine if he were still human and was touched, licked, and had unwanted advances made by someone of the same sex. How would he react? Or if he were openly pursued by someone of the same sex, could he still live with that person?
Luo Qiao felt a little uneasy, not about a specific individual, but about himself.
Luo Qiao silently walked back to the pile of grass where he and the cubs slept, settled the two cubs, walked to the tree where Monty rested, looked up, and sure enough, Monty was lying on a branch, half-asleep, watching him.
Luo Qiao transformed into his human form and patted the tree trunk.
"Come down, I need to talk to you."
Monty twitched his ears and, without saying much, climbed down from the tree.
"Take your human shape."
"Why?"
"I have something to do."
"Okay."
Although he didn't know what Luo Qiao's business was, Monty didn't care. Luo Qiao looked at the leopard beauty who was much taller than him and took a deep breath.
"Lower your head."
"Huh?"
Monty lowered his head. In the next moment, Luo Qiao grabbed his hair and blocked his lips with his own.
Silence...
Neither Luo Qiao nor Monty closed their eyes. Monty was curious about this sensation, but Luo Qiao was shocked by a certain guess in his heart. Until the kiss ended—though it could hardly be called a kiss, just a simple touch of lips—Luo Qiao turned with a wooden expression, walked back to the two cheetah cubs, lay down, and went to sleep.
The cheetah father appeared calm on the surface, but a herd of alpacas galloped through his heart. Holy crap, was he gay?!
Monty licked his lips.
This feeling was not bad.
