Become a Cheetah

Was there anything worse than being stared at by a lion?
Luo Qiao lay on the branch, nervously watching Oros below the tree. Although Monty told him not to worry, that Oros couldn't get up here at all, Luo Qiao couldn't help but feel anxious.
As time passed, he began to worry about Luo Sen and Luo Rui. The grassland was full of dangers. Seven-month-old cheetah cubs, without Luo Qiao's protection, could be injured or even lose their lives if they encountered any predators. More importantly, "they haven't eaten enough..."
Luo Qiao gripped the branch tightly, almost breaking it, but the words he spoke nearly made Monty fall off the tree.
He had seen many cheetahs, but so far, he hadn't found any as peculiar as Luo Qiao. He wasn't worried about encountering a lion himself, but instead worried that the cubs he raised hadn't eaten enough? Speaking of which, shouldn't he be more worried about their safety?
The night grassland was the hunting ground for lions, hyenas, and leopards. Shouldn't he be worried that the two cubs might accidentally be caught and devoured?
Thinking of this, Monty paused. This was the second time he had acted so impulsively, abandoning his usual principles and rushing to save this cheetah from the lion, regardless of the consequences. Instead of dwelling on his concern for the cubs, it would be better to carefully consider how much benefit he could get from this cheetah to make it worthwhile.
Perhaps, tearing him apart and swallowing him would be a good idea...
The keen intuition of a wild beast allowed Luo Qiao to sense that something was wrong with Monty at the first moment, but he had no time to care what this leopard was thinking. He could only constantly pray that Oros below the tree would leave quickly.
Speaking of which, this lion was stubborn enough. He couldn't climb up, and even if he did, he would probably get his face scratched. The lion's massive size had no advantage at this moment. What was he wasting time here for?
Oros raised his head, looking at Luo Qiao and Monty in the tree. Unwilling to give up, he stood up, his two front paws gripping the trunk, his hind legs exerting force, and he actually began to climb the trunk.
The change happened in an instant. Compared to Oros's smugness and Luo Qiao's shock, Monty was unusually calm. He was certain that Oros was simply wasting his energy.
Sure enough, adult male lions would never become skilled climbers. After climbing less than a third of the way up, Oros slid down the trunk.
This was a more considerate way of putting it for the male lion's sake. To describe it more accurately, Oros simply fell out of the tree.
Oros let out a roar of anger and unwillingness. Luo Qiao, temporarily safe, didn't feel very happy either. Were they just going to keep wasting time here with this male lion? What would happen if the two little cheetahs encountered danger?!
"Don't worry."
Monty licked Luo Qiao's nape. In his human form, Luo Qiao's nape skin was very smooth. Monty found it comfortable to lick, but Luo Qiao felt like a layer of skin was about to be scraped off.
"Why not worry?"
Luo Qiao pointed to Oros below the tree. He was trying to climb the tree again, and unsurprisingly, he failed again. "He doesn't look like he's going to give up at all."
"He won't."
Monty wanted to lick Luo Qiao again but was dodged. He let out a dissatisfied rumble from his throat. "He can't stay here all night. His pride just caught two buffaloes not long ago. He won't leave all the prey to the lionesses. He will definitely go back to eat tonight."
"Hopefully."
Luo Qiao really wasn't as relaxed as Monty. The scorching afternoon sunlight gradually gave way to the hazy yellow of the evening sky. At sunset, the evening breeze suddenly picked up. The slightly cool wind made Luo Qiao feel a bit cold. He transformed into his cheetah form and immediately felt warmer.
Indeed, fur was a good thing.
Luo Qiao comfortably tucked his four legs under him. Monty wanted to lie on him but was scratched by Luo Qiao's paw. Monty licked his lips and bit Luo Qiao's paw, his eyes narrowing dangerously. Luo Qiao's heart pounded, but he couldn't show weakness. He absolutely couldn't compromise easily on this kind of thing.
There was always a first time, and then a second. Although he admitted he was bending, the extent to which he bent had to be in his own control. Besides, there was a lion below the tree ready to watch at any time. Harmony was absolutely out of the question!
Monty released Luo Qiao's paw. Although the touch was quite nice, it was still not as good as when there was no fur, when it was smooth.
The leopard and the cheetah in the tree each pondered unspeakable thoughts, while Oros below the tree roared again.
The roar attracted three lionesses from the pride: Hona, Rosa, and Shana. They should have been with the other lionesses, but Oros's roars were too frequent. They discussed it with the lioness leader Tina and came to check the situation themselves.
The lionesses weren't worried that something would happen to Oros. As long as there were no accidents, Oros would occupy the lion king's throne for a long time. What worried the lionesses was whether a strange male lion had intruded into the territory or if there was a disturbance in the buffalo herd. Oros's roars were full of anger, so the lionesses couldn't help but overthink.
Of course, if the lionesses knew the reason for Oros's loud roars, they would probably take turns slapping Oros several times, until the male lion's nose bled. He couldn't even deal with a cheetah, how useless! Couldn't catch up with a cheetah, couldn't climb a tree, and was mocked by a leopard in every way, completely useless!
The appearance of the three lionesses caught Luo Qiao and Monty off guard. Lionesses were different from male lions; they could climb trees. As long as the branches were thick enough, they could even pose a threat to Monty.
"Oros, what's going on?"
Rosa was the first to see Luo Qiao and Monty in the tree. A cheetah and a leopard? However, this cheetah looked somewhat familiar...
"Why did you come?"
"Nonsense, you were yelling so loudly, we thought another male lion had invaded. Aunt Tina was worried about the cubs and asked us to come and see."
"There are no intruders." Oros replied sullenly, "I just want to deal with the two guys in the tree!"
"Deal with?" Hona glanced at Oros suspiciously. "How do you plan to deal with them, kill them? Or do you have other plans?"
"I remember!"
Rosa suddenly exclaimed, turning back to glare at Oros. "That cheetah! Oros, you better give us a very good explanation! Last time you were already acting suspiciously with this cheetah. No wonder you were so quick to leave when we asked you to patrol the territory. So you came to see him?!"
"No, absolutely not!"
Oros looked at the three lionesses, trying to explain, but the facts were right in front of them. Last time when he wanted to do something to Luo Qiao, he wasn't careful enough and was caught red-handed by the lionesses. Now that Rosa recognized Luo Qiao, even with a leopard above him, the lionesses wouldn't easily believe Oros's words!
Besides, Oros was indeed a bit guilty. He had some different thoughts about chasing this cheetah, even if he would eventually kill him.
Roar!
The lion's roar sounded again, but this time, it wasn't the male lion roaring, but the three lionesses. When Oros heard Hona, Rosa, and Shana's roars, he could already imagine the expressions on the faces of the lionesses in the pride when they heard it. He wanted to raise his paw to touch the part that was about to be slapped, but he found that this action was too difficult. But no matter what, after returning to the pride, he would definitely receive no shortage of slaps.
Hona walked around the trunk of the tree. Luo Qiao nervously watched her every move, while Monty simultaneously paid attention to the actions of the four lions. Seeing Hona begin to climb the tree, Monty immediately pulled Luo Qiao to some thinner branches.
When Monty was just a young, his prey had been snatched by lions. More than ninety percent of the time, it was female lions who could climb trees. Later, he would hang his prey on thinner branches. Even if the lionesses could climb the tree, they couldn't reach the prey that was so close.
Lionesses weighed dozens of pounds more than him, not to mention the cheetah, whose weight was completely negligible. As long as they took one step forward, they were likely to break the branch and fall to the ground.
The lucky ones would be unharmed, but the unlucky ones could be injured or even die. Monty had personally seen a lioness accidentally get caught on a protruding branch while descending a tree, resulting in a broken spine and death within minutes.
Luo Qiao's only choice now was to follow Monty's instructions. He climbed onto even thinner branches. Even Monty couldn't gain a foothold on that branch. Yet Luo Qiao climbed up and lay down very steadily.
Monty couldn't help but sigh. "I reckon you don't weigh much more than a wildcat..." He directly bypassed servals, golden cats, and caracals, and linked Luo Qiao to wildcats. This showed how dissatisfied Monty was with Luo Qiao's weight. Too light, no wonder he felt so light when carried, the feel was barely acceptable.
"What?"
Luo Qiao's entire attention was on the lioness. He didn't hear clearly what Monty said, so he asked. But Monty closed his mouth and said nothing.
Hona had already climbed to the top of the tree, standing at the forked part of the branches. She roared at Monty and Luo Qiao, but there was no way for her to go any further. Monty was less than a meter away from her, but she simply couldn't bite him. Instead, she was scratched several times by Monty's sharp claws.
Rosa and Shana stood under the tree, saw Hona's situation, and were also helpless. Oros even tried to ram the tree trunk, but Shana slapped him on the face with her paw.
"You're a lion, not an elephant! Besides, Hona is still up there!"
The lions began to become agitated. If they weren't angry at Oros's behavior, the lionesses wouldn't have racked their brains so hard to try and catch Luo Qiao and Monty.
Just as the two sides were in a stalemate, the roars of the remaining lionesses in Oros's pride came from the distance. Hearing this roar, Oros and the three lionesses simultaneously pricked up their ears! This was the roar the lionesses made when the pride was threatened. Either the lions of the Hothby pride were taking advantage of Oros and the three lionesses being away to cause trouble, or the pride had been attacked by a herd of wild buffalo or elephants!
The four lions no longer had the mind to pay attention to the cheetah and leopard in the tree. Hona jumped down from the tree to the ground, and the four lions immediately ran in the direction of the roar.
Having narrowly escaped, Luo Qiao breathed a big sigh of relief and immediately climbed down the tree. He had to return to the rocky hill in the territory immediately. The lions had run in the other direction, so the two little cheetahs wouldn't encounter them, but Luo Qiao was still worried.
Thanks to Monty, Luo Qiao still wasn't good at climbing up trees, but he was getting more and more skilled at climbing down. Monty followed closely behind and blocked Luo Qiao's path.
"You're just planning to leave like this?"
"Ah, I wanted to say thank you."
Luo Qiao knew that verbal thanks would definitely not satisfy Monty. After thinking for a moment, he proactively licked Monty a few times. Would this do?
Monty remained unmoved.
Luo Qiao rolled over and lay on his back on the ground, rolled to the left, then rolled to the right, getting covered in grass leaves. Surely this would do?
Monty still remained unmoved.
Luo Qiao transformed again, hugged Monty's neck, and kissed Monty's furry cheek. Still not enough?!
Monty's light golden eyes clearly expressed his dissatisfaction!
Luo Qiao also got a little angry. Damn it! He had sacrificed to this extent, what else did he want?! Since he wasn't satisfied, he wouldn't serve him anymore! He transformed back into a cheetah, raised his leg, and was about to run.
Monty directly expressed what he wanted with action. He pinned Luo Qiao to the ground with one paw, restrained Luo Qiao with both front legs, lowered his head, bit Luo Qiao's nape, and pressed down. Luo Qiao's certain part could already clearly feel Monty's certain part. Monty's attitude was more serious than ever before. Things had definitely escalated!
Luo Qiao hurriedly shrank his body and shouted loudly.
"No!"
"Roar!" Monty let out a low growl. "Why not?"
"Thorns!" Luo Qiao came up with a quick idea. "I'm afraid of pain!"
Monty tilted his head and licked Luo Qiao's ear. This was easy to handle.
In the next moment, the leopard pressing down on Luo Qiao transformed into a human. Golden-brown long hair fell from his shoulders. One hand pressed on Luo Qiao, and the other hand grabbed Luo Qiao's tail.
"Will this do?"
Luo Qiao was a bit dazed. What was going on? Beastiality?!
"No!"
"Roar!"
Monty's patience ran out. Luo Qiao realized that things were bad. In cheetah form, he couldn't resist at all. He immediately transformed into human form, wanting to kick away Monty who was pressing down on him. But unexpectedly, Monty grabbed his waist with one hand, flipped him over, and blocked his lips with a kiss.
Both of Luo Qiao's long legs were also grabbed, one hooked over Monty's shoulder, and the other wrapped around Monty's waist. Monty's lips moved down and bit Luo Qiao's throat. In the next moment, Luo Qiao cried out in pain.
"His XXXX! How can there still be barbs even in human form?!"
This was definitely a huge misunderstanding, just because Monty was too excited. Halfway through, he transformed back into a leopard...
Luo Qiao watched Monty transform back and forth between a leopard and a beautiful man for a while. A herd of mythical beasts once again galloped wildly through his mind, leaving behind a cloud of dust.
Although Monty finally maintained his human form until the end, this first time with such a heavy taste was really going to cost him his leopard life...
