Chapter 66 BAC

Become a Cheetah

o0o

After mating, both lionesses and female leopards will roll on the ground to increase the chances of pregnancy. However, Luo Qiao rolled all over the ground after it was over because of the pain.

Monty watched Luo Qiao rolling around, occasionally kicking his legs and swiping his paws, and moved his ears in confusion. He had only mated with female leopards, so he naturally knew their reactions, but Luo Qiao was male, would he also roll around?

It wasn't Monty's fault for thinking this way; it was simply because Luo Qiao was only busy rolling around and had manly forgotten to cry out in pain. Monty couldn't help but reach out a paw to poke at Luo Qiao, who was covered in grass leaves, but unexpectedly, he was severely scratched a few times by Luo Qiao, and also received a few blows to the head.

Male lions and male leopards would both get hit a few times after doing that with the females, especially male lions, who would often get a bloody nose.

But Monty had never been slapped by a female leopard. Just as Beatrice and other female leopards had said, this male leopard wasn't even willing to try hard, and if they scratched and slapped him again, he probably wouldn't even last a minute.

Moreover, their purpose was only to get pregnant; as for the male leopard who contributed his sperm, once it was over, he could go wherever he wanted.

However, Luo Qiao wasn't as 'magnanimous' as the female leopards, and Monty's performance did indeed irritate him. When anger overwhelmed reason, Luo Qiao's most direct reaction was to bristle and throw a tantrum.

A real man should solve problems in a manly way. An enraged man lets his fists decide everything.

But a cheetah's size was really not manly enough compared to a leopard, so Luo Qiao could only be manly in a different way. If he couldn't beat him, he could scratch him. Whether it was grabbing or scratching, as long as he could vent his anger, it was fine.

A honey badger foraging for food saw Luo Qiao's tantrum. In the past, a cheetah that dared to provoke a leopard would have been bitten to death long ago. But in the current situation, the leopard didn't mean to fight back at all, only occasionally dodging. On the contrary, the cheetah became more and more skilled at fighting, even using both front paws to strike the leopard left and right.

My goodness!

The honey badger looked at the two leopards in disbelief, its mouth agape in astonishment. A cobra that wasn't completely dead fell to the ground, twitched a few times, and quickly slithered into the grass, narrowly escaping a disaster.

Thank you, cheetah who dared to beat up a leopard! When it mustered up the courage one day, it would definitely bite the honey badger!

Seeing that the cheetah had no intention of stopping its attack, the honey badger immediately stopped watching and quickly ran towards another honey badger not far away, calling out as it ran.

"Wife, come and see, a cheetah is beating up a leopard!"

Luo Qiao and Monty couldn't understand the honey badger's calls, but the honey badger's body language was too vivid. Not only did it call out, but when it ran to the other honey badger, it also pointed its front paws in the direction of Monty and Luo Qiao. The meaning was already very clear: there's a show, wife, come watch quickly!

Luo Qiao was speechless. Being interrupted by the honey badger like this, his reason, which had been burned away by anger, instantly returned. Seeing the leopard who was unharmed after being beaten by him, he couldn't help but feel scared. It wasn't that he was timid, it was just that leopards were too insidious, cunning, and vengeful creatures. What if it pounced on him again? He was still thinking about finding his sons!

Perhaps Luo Qiao should be thankful that although leopards could mate continuously for four or five days, most of the time it was the female leopard who took the initiative. Their first time had almost happened under Monty's coercion. Luo Qiao only felt pain and a sense of being screwed over. For him to take the initiative for a second time? He would rather be bitten to death!

Night had already fallen. This was the most active time for lions and hyenas. He didn't know how Luo Sen and Luo Rui were doing, whether they had safely run back to the rocky hill and hidden.

The more Luo Qiao thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. Taking advantage of Monty's inattention, he turned and ran towards the territory. Being pressed down by Monty, although it hurt, hadn't really injured Luo Qiao's body, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to throw a tantrum at Monty.

Before he had run two steps, Luo Qiao was caught by the tail again. This seemed to have become a habitual action for Monty.

Luo Qiao didn't turn around, but just looked back at Monty, who had transformed back into human form. He angrily opened his mouth, revealing his teeth, which although not large, were sharp enough.

"Let go of me! Be careful I scratch you again!" Although his tone was bad, facing Monty in human form, he didn't immediately swipe his claws at him.

Monty squeezed the end of the tail in his palm. It was warm and furry. He let go and watched Luo Qiao run away without looking back.

Monty lowered his head and licked his palm. The tips of his fingers, which had sharp nails, brushed against his cheek. He curled the corner of his mouth.

"Do you like this form?"

Since he liked this form, things would be easy. He had only done it once, and he had been grabbed, scratched, and slapped like this. He had really suffered a loss...

Leopards were insidious, cunning, and vengeful. Luo Qiao hadn't been wrong at all.

Transforming back into a leopard, Monty chased after Luo Qiao in the direction he had run. The night grassland was very dangerous, and Monty didn't want this cheetah to run into any trouble.

On the rocky hill in Luo Qiao's territory, Luo Sen and Luo Rui hid in a secluded rock cave. This rocky hill had more than a dozen caves of various sizes, as well as several crevices where small cheetahs could hide.

The cave where Luo Sen and Luo Rui were hiding was lined with dry grass that Luo Qiao had found, which could effectively cover their scent. As long as one didn't get too close, lions and hyenas wouldn't be able to find them.

"Brother, why hasn't Dad come back yet?"

Luo Rui rested his chin on Luo Sen's body, his ears twitching, looking listless. Luo Sen turned his head and licked Luo Rui's ear.

"Dad will come back. Dad is very strong and will definitely be able to avoid those lions!"

"I hate lions! They always bully us."

"I hate them too!"

With Luo Qiao not by their side, Luo Sen and Luo Rui even kept their voices very low. Even the most sharp-eared serval, at a slight distance, wouldn't be able to hear the two little cheetahs.

After denouncing the lions for a while, Luo Sen and Luo Rui both fell silent. They huddled together tightly, waiting for Luo Qiao's return. The fish meat they had eaten during the day had been almost completely digested, and they were hungry again.

Under the moonlight, the running cheetah looked like a golden streak of light and shadow. Luo Qiao didn't notice Monty following behind him. As long as a leopard could hide, it was almost impossible to be discovered, especially at night.

However, even if Luo Qiao had noticed Monty, he wouldn't have been in the mood to pay attention to him. All he wanted now was to hurry back to the rocky hill and see if Luo Sen and Luo Rui were staying there safely.

Running through the dense tall grass, the rocky hill was already close at hand. Luo Qiao stopped, carefully sniffed around, and confirmed that no other predators had been here. Only then did he cautiously approach several rock caves to check. Finally, in a rock cave that had been newly lined with dry grass, he found the two little cheetahs. Strangely, Luo Sen and Luo Rui didn't run over to him immediately.

"Sons?"

Luo Qiao looked at Luo Sen and Luo Rui in confusion. "What's wrong?"

"Dad..." Luo Rui hesitated before saying, "The smell on you is so strange..."

Strange smell?

Luo Qiao paused, then immediately understood what Luo Rui meant. For a moment, he felt awkward. How should he tell the two little cheetahs that he had been...intimate with a leopard, so he had the leopard's scent on him?

Mixed with his original scent, it was no wonder the two little cheetahs found it strange. Animals mostly relied on scent to identify each other. Cheetahs could also distinguish each other by their spots, and their appearances were also somewhat different, especially the evolved species, who could clearly be identified as humans at a glance.

But Luo Sen and Luo Rui couldn't transform into human form yet. They relied more on scent and appearance to remember different things. For their own kind, scent was even more important. Although they wouldn't fail to recognize Luo Qiao, the strange scent on him still made the two little cheetahs suspicious.

"Stay here obediently, Dad will be right back."

Luo Qiao couldn't explain clearly, so he turned and walked out of the rock cave, found a patch of grass that could cover the scent, ran into it, and started rolling around.

Roll left, Monty you bastard! Roll right, I'll bite you to death one day! Roll again, sniff, there's still a smell, keep rolling...

More than ten minutes passed, and Luo Qiao finally got rid of all of Monty's scent on him. However, his fur needed a good cleaning; it was covered in dust and grass leaves.

This time, Luo Sen and Luo Rui didn't hesitate any longer. Seeing Luo Qiao return, they pounced on him, rolling around, acting cute, and rubbing against him in all sorts of ways.

Luo Qiao didn't let the two little cheetahs lick him. Instead, he told Luo Sen and Luo Rui to go back to the haystack to sleep, while he lay down closer to the cave entrance and began to clean his fur bit by bit.

Luo Qiao had been living with the two little cheetahs for several months, and some necessary common sense had been entirely self-taught. Clean fur was extremely important for cheetahs. Unkempt fur not only couldn't keep them warm but could also cause diseases. Cheetahs basically wouldn't go into the water to bathe. Big cats didn't like getting their fur wet. Even though Luo Qiao had a human form, he would definitely not go into the water. Ordinary ponds were out of the question, and as for the just-passed-through river...going down there would only mean feeding the crocodiles.

In his previous life, when Luo Qiao was filming the wildebeest migration, he had also learned about the local indigenous people, such as the people known as the Simba. They never bathed in their entire lives.

Regardless of gender or age, they only used soil mixed with ochre to smear their skin, including their hair, to protect themselves from the scorching sun and cleanse their skin. It sounded unbelievable, and Luo Qiao was also surprised when he first encountered this tribe.

But thinking about it carefully, these seemingly primitive people were able to live alongside wild animals on the primeval continent because of their unique civilization and the wisdom they gained from nature. This was a valuable experience that people living in concrete jungles could never obtain.

It was impossible for Luo Qiao to find soil and ochre to smear on his skin. Even if he could find them, what if his fur turned red after applying it? He had never heard of a cheetah with red fur! He couldn't go into the water, nor could he use other things to clean himself. The only way Luo Qiao could clean his fur was by licking himself!

While licking his paws, Luo Qiao thought that it was fortunate that he had become a cheetah when he came over. If he had come over fully human, he probably wouldn't have survived a single day.

Monty lay on a tree several hundred meters away from the rocky hill. This was already the border area of his territory. With the help of the moonlight, he could clearly see Luo Qiao's every move. Unfortunately, after Luo Qiao rolled around in the grass and went into the rock cave, he never came out again.

Monty licked his paw and yawned, opening his mouth wide. He wasn't hungry and didn't plan to hunt tonight. This tree suited his liking, and he should be able to get a good night's sleep.

Several hyenas wandering at the border of the leopard's territory discovered Monty. If this leopard hunted tonight, they might be able to take advantage. They waited for a long time but didn't see Monty come down from the tree. The hyenas continued to wait, unwilling to give up, but they were destined to be disappointed.

In the rock cave, Luo Qiao cleaned his fur and walked to the haystack, lying down next to the two little cheetahs. Before long, he also fell asleep.

Luo Sen and Luo Rui were snuggled into Luo Qiao's embrace, sleeping curled up into two furry balls. The two little cheetahs had the same beautiful dream: in their dream, Dad had caught them an antelope as big as a giraffe...
